September 19, 2024: Invited by Alliance Altyn, the members of the People’s Commission for Control over the Development of Jeruy site: Kanybek Imanaliev, Aichurek Toktogazieva, Tendik Isbasarov, Serik Yuldashev, Adyl Kochorbaev led by the Chairman of the Commission Aidarbek Momuntayev, familiarized themselves with the construction of the second stage of the tailings dump of the gold extraction factory.

The delegates, with the company’s representatives, inspected the first stage tailings dump, and then the construction site of the second stage, where they visually examined the construction in-progress. The staff of the company and the contractor on site provided detailed information on the stages of laying a geomembrane to ensure environmental safety of the tailings dump and answered questions asked by the members of the People’s Commission.

In general, the members of commission evaluated the progress of the second stage construction of the tailings dump positively and appreciated the compliance with the environmental safety standards.

By the way, this is not the first control visit of the People’s Commission for Control over the Development to Jeruy. Only this year, after all excavation work at the pit of the tailings dump had been finished, visits of the commission members were organized on April 16 and June 13 this year. As agreed with the members of the commission, the next visit will take place after the full completion of construction of the second stage tailings dump.
