Alliance Altyn cares about the environment and cultural heritage

In the second quarter of this year, Alliance Altyn LLC transferred 9.7 million KGS in regular environmental payments to the Talas Territorial Department of Environmental Protection. In addition, payments were made to a special reclamation fund in the amount of 1 million 215 thousand KGS; as of September 9, 26 million 730 thousand KGS were accumulated on this specialized account.

The following activities were carried out in the second quarter:

• An automated weather station (AWS) has been relocated to the processing facility, in the vicinity of the tailings dump. The AWS automatically registers the main climatological parameters, which are instantly transmitted to the computer center of the Central Asian Institute for Applied Geosciences (CAIAG) for data processing and acquisition. • An information board and a fence around the historical and cultural heritage site Kumbez Bakai were installed on the territory of the Kolun-Embes tract.
  
  
   
• Monitoring of wells at the tailings storage facility was carried out. No groundwater was found in the wells, which confirms the integrity of the geomembrane laid on the tailings dump.
• Monitoring of drinking water extracted from underground sources for domestic and drinking water supply of Jeruy PS was carried out. Drinking water complies with established safety indicators.

Chuyskaya ecological laboratory, according to the results of quarterly monitoring at the Jeruy PS, reports that there is no negative impact on the environment from the exploitation of the deposit.
