Chairman of the Cabinet of the Kyrgyz Republic inspected the work at Jeruy

Ulukbek Maripov, Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic, paid a working visit to the Jeruy production site and inspected the processing facility at the Talas Gold Mining Complex (TGMC).

Ulukbek Maripov was accompanied by representatives of the relevant state agencies. They were met by Yuri Aleshin, advisor to the president of Alliance Group JSC, Sabir Rakhmatov, CEO of Alliance Altyn LLC, Adilet Akmataliyev, deputy CEO for legal affairs, Jenish Isakov, deputy CEO for security and public relations and Konstantin Chuprin, deputy CEO for production.

The head of the Cabinet inspected the main building of the gold extraction plant (the Mill), as well as the electrolysis and smelting facilities. A 25kg Dore ingot was cast in his presence.

Then Ulukbek Maripov toured the tailings dump. Deputy CEO Chuprin explained the chairman that the total area of the tailings storage facility covers 64.1 hectares of land, and that five protective layers and a settling pond ensure zero discharge into the environment, as well as recycling of the Mill's water supply.

The prime minister also visited the shift camp where the company's workers live and rest. Rakhmatov, the CEO, said that today more than 1,000 people (including contractors) work at the Jeruy PS.

The Jeruy deposit is located in Talas oblast at an altitude of 3,750 metres above sea level. Mining operations started on October 17, 2019. The commercial reserves of the deposit are 88.2 tons of gold. The capacity of TGMC's gold processing plant is 1.3 million tons of ore per year. The first cast took place on February 21, 2021. Dore ingots produced at the Mill are sent to the Kyrgyzaltyn OJSC refinery. The National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic (NBKR) has the pre-emptive right to purchase the produced gold. To date, 1,086 kg of chemically pure gold has been produced and 940 kg of pure gold have been sold to the NBKR. By the end of the year, it is planned to produce 2,300 kg of gold.
