Alliance Altyn meeting with residents of Talas oblast

On September 25, at the initiative of the authorized representative of the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic in Talas region, Marat Murataliev, a meeting of representatives of the Alliance Altyn LLC with the activists and residents of the region was held in Talas. In total, more than 400 people attended the event, which took place in the hall of the City Drama Theater.

Mikhail Shubin, CEO of the company, reported to Talas residents on the activity results of Alliance Altyn at the Jeruy production site for the current year. At present, the construction of all the facilities of the Talas Gold Mining Complex, including the main building of the gold extraction plant, is nearing completion. Shubin expressed confidence that the set tasks will be carried out on time and in accordance with international quality standard requirements: Launching the gold extraction plant is not an easy process; more than 600 pieces of expensive equipment have to be commissioned. A total of 20 contractors and about 700 people were involved in the construction of the facilities, 500 of whom were residents of Talas oblast.

The CEO also reported that during the year, there was work on education and training of personnel from the local population, chosen on a competitive basis. To date, 270 people have been trained. Of these, 50 took part in Stage 1 practical training at the Ak-Suu, Bes-Tube, and Zholymbet mines in Kazakhstan. All of them will soon be employed at Jeruy.

In terms of fulfilling other social obligations, Alliance Altyn transferred 450 million KGS to the Bakubat Talas Welfare Fund during the period of its activity, which goes to support social programs and the development of agriculture and infrastructure of the region. From this year, the amount of contributions to the Fund will be 150 million KGS per year.

As for tax deductions, from 2015 to September 2019, 569 million KGS were transferred to the budget of the Kyrgyz Republic. Starting next year, annual payments to the budget of Kyrgyzstan will be about 2 billion KGS due to the operation of the field.

During the meeting, residents asked questions of concern to them, including those on ecology. Shubin replied that people's concerns are understandable, and assured that the company uses advanced technologies for mining, gold production and tailings storage, which guarantee safety: We pay particular attention to the environmental and industrial safety of the project. All safety and environmental requirements are strictly monitored at the production site. The Chuyskaya Environmental Laboratory conducts independent environmental monitoring on a quarterly basis. .

According to experts, no deviations from environmental norms were recorded during the period of this monitoring within the boundaries of the Jeruy site.

Note that the meeting with Talas residents was held in a free form, and each of the 400 participants had the opportunity to express their opinions and ask questions.

Governor M. Murataliev expressed his gratitude to Alliance Altyn for its openness and willingness to work closely with the local government and population.
