The contractor carrying out road works at the Jeruy PS allowed a case of water discharge into the environment after washing the soil used in the road pavement at the crushing and screening plant. The soil consists of boulders and pebbles, with inclusions of clay, sand and gravel of natural origin, without any chemical ingredients or additives. Thus, a clay solution containing sand, clay and other soil particles was discharged onto the Tush-Ashu bank and partially into the river.

For the violation of the Regulation on Environmental Protection Requirements for the individuals involved in the work at the Jeruy deposit, Zhagalmay LLC has been subjected to penalties as stipulated by its contractual obligations.

The affected area was inspected by representatives of the environmental authorities of the Talas Territorial Department of SIETS and the Talas Department of SAEPF, who registered the discharge of natural components onto the terrain.

Zhagalmay LLC cleans the area of sand and clay sediments.
