Mother's Day was established by the decree of President Almazbek Atambayev in 2012. This holiday is celebrated in Kyrgyzstan on the third Sunday in May. This year, Mother's Day – Ene Kunu was held on May 15. On behalf of the Alliance Altyn, women who gave birth to twins and triplets, as well as holders of the Baatyr ene (mother-heroine) and Ene danky (glory of the mother) awards were honored. The women received gifts, as well as charity aid in the form of social packages (food of prime necessity).
