On the progress of the processing plant construction at Jeruy

Alliance Altyn LLC, aiming to launch a gold recovery plant (the Mill) at the Jeruy deposit in Talas oblast by the end of this year, is actively carrying out construction and installation work. The Mill is a part of the processing complex, which has 15 major construction facilities: the main building of the Mill, the large crushing facility, the electrolysis and smelting facilities, the base warehouse of chemical and reagents, the administrative and amenity building with a laundry, the MTS warehouse with an open area, engineering structures for drinking and technical water supply, water disposal and treatment facilities, pumping stations, power supply facilities (upstream and downstream substations, substation 110, on-site power supply networks), vehicle weighing station, checkpoints, inter-site roads, tailings dump site.

Construction of the processing complex is carried out by AAEngineering Group LLP, Baden Service LLP, Elektrosila LLP and Mekhkolonna KESS LLP. Other subcontractors are also involved in the construction work. The construction site workforce is 95% Kyrgyz nationals, of whom 44% are from Talas oblast.

Today, 49 pieces of construction equipment are operating on the site.

Particular attention is paid to the environmental care. Fuel and lubricant contamination of the soil is prevented and the discharge of any contaminants onto the soil is avoided. All generated solid waste is stored at the temporary waste storage site until it is handed over to a specialised third-party organisation. Recycled polyethylene products, plastics, PET bottles, waste oil, scrap metal, waste wood, waste paper, tires etc. are recycled.

The construction is supervised by a special service staffed by highly qualified professionals with extensive experience of building similar facilities in the Kyrgyz Republic.

Construction works are carried out in accordance with the approved design documentation, construction rules and regulations, GOSTs, FR, TR, SN. The design documentation underwent environmental expertise, industrial safety expertise, fire expertise, expertise of the State Construction Committee on the construction objects, and was approved by the State Architecture of Talas oblast.

The budget for construction of the processing facility prior to launch is $272.9 million.
