26.07.2023

Since the launch of the gold-processing plant through July 2023, Alliance Altyn LLC has paid KGS 12.2 billion of taxes to the Kyrgyz budget. Including KGS 8.3 billion on proceeds from the sale of gold.

Alliance Altyn currently has 839 employees. They include 815 Kyrgyz nationals. The company has trained 361 people in Talas region to become miners, and employed 221 of them at Jeruy site.

The company has paid KGS 4.3 million to the Republican budget this month for the use of surface water for the gold-processing needs. The total payments to the restoration fund currently amount to KGS 45 million; for the use of surface water — KGS 53.5 million.

In June, as part of biotechnical measures together with the Talas Society of Hunters and Fishermen, 400 kilograms of rock salt were spread in the Mal-Kara canyon for the livestock pasturing in the licensed area. Talas Center for Disease Prevention under the State Sanitary & Epidemiological Surveillance Agency sampled drinking water from 18 inspection points at Jeruy site. It was found that water quality at the Talas Gold Mining site meets sanitary and hygienic requirements.

The Department of Environmental Monitoring under the Ministry of Natural Resources, Environment and Technical Supervision of the Kyrgyz Republic sampled the surface and waste water, bottom sediments, air and soil at the inspection points of the gold-processing site. This was followed by a scheduled inspection of water in observation wells at the tailing dump. No water was found.

As the construction of the second tailing dump at Jeruy commenced, a joint commission with representatives of AA Engineering Group and Unistroy inspected the fertile and vegetative soil layer and conducted an aerial survey of the territory, and prepared an as-built drawing of the site.

Regular monitoring of the contractors’ records of waste disposal at the gold-mining site, as well as dust suppression measures at ore haul roads and other production areas are implemented.

Ecologists of Alliance Altyn initiated a tender procedure to correct the land restoration project and conduct an inventory of production/consumption discharges and wastes at Jeruy.
