Three social and production facilities commissioned in Bekmoldo village as a result of development of the Jeruy deposit

On January 19, 2024, a new cultural and sports complex, a sewing shop with 30 jobs, and a reconstructed village museum were opened in Kara-Oy village of Talas district. The event was attended by Nurlan Dardanov, Presidential Plenipotentiary in Talas region, heads of local authorities, representatives of Alliance Altyn company, and local residents.

Previously a village school built in 1928, now the village museum. The local budget provided KGS 6.3 million for the overhaul and reconstruction of the building.

The construction of the new cultural and sports complex in Kara-Oy village was funded by the local budget and cost KGS 43.2 million. The facility offers place for volleyball, mini football, basketball games and other sports, as well as cultural events.

Moreover, thanks to the investor, a sewing company was launched in Kara-Oy. Kynatbek Sarchayev, representative of the sewing business, reported that the idea of opening the local shop belongs to Alliance Altyn, the developer of the Jeruy deposit and the regular client. Aiko Seiko has been making uniforms for Alliance Altyn staff for the past few years. He added, that clearly Alliance Altyn is committed to developing the local community and offering jobs to the local residents.

Nurlan Dardanov, Presidential Plenipotentiary in Talas region, attended the opening ceremony and said that Bekmoldo budget is spent on the needs of the local residents. “Alliance Altyn provides substantial support to Bekmoldo area. Tax payments and fees related to the development of the deposit contribute to the local budget, which in turn improves the well-being of the residents.

With three big openings in one day, 2024 started off well. Hopefully, the villagers will enjoy the new facilities,” said the head of the region.

Alliance Altyn, the developer of the Jeruy gold deposit, not only replenishes the budget with tax payments, but also contributes 2 % of the proceeds to the development and maintenance of local infrastructure. Contributions to the Bekmoldo development fund amount to KGS 216.4 million to date. To the regional fund – KGS 540.9 million, to the district fund – KGS 324.5 million.
