На месте ознакомились с работами, выполняемыми компанией «Альянс Алтын», которая занимается разработкой месторождения.

The head of the region inquired about the employees working at the mine, labor conditions and environmental safety.

Mr. Dardanov got a tour of the Talas Gold Mining plant, Gold-Processing plant, and the Jeruy tailing dump and noted that as a result of Alliance Altyn’s activities, the region received substantial investment; a number of projects are underway; and the regional development funds, the Presidential Property Management Department and the national mortgage company are considering the mortgage-based construction of high-rise apartment buildings in Talas region.

Since the beginning of operation of Jeruy gold mine, development funds have been established in Talas region, district, and Bekmoldo rural area. The funds have received more than KGS 875 million to date, all resulting from the gold sale proceeds.

The head of the region inquired about the environmental impact and inspected the tailing dumps.

The company stated that they are working with the National Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz Republic to recycle production waste. The research reached its final stage. If the research result is positive, it will allow making construction materials from production waste.

Talas gold mining plant is different from the others, because its production waste contains 20 % moisture, being the safest, the company states. Alliance Altyn has prioritized environmental safety in the development of the mine. Corporate, private, and governmental ecologists monitor the environmental impact. The head of the region and Beknazar Ashymov, head of the Talas Regional Department of the Ministry of Natural Resources, Environment and Technical Supervision of the Kyrgyz Republic visited the mine.

«“We maintain ongoing monitoring around the mine. We also monitor water and air in neighboring villages. Especially in spring, with water from streams coming in, wastewater gets polluted. We recheck and inform the locals that this is natural,” Ashymov said.

General inspections showed that over eight years of the company’s activity no cases of negative environmental impact were registered.

Employees of the company told the head of the region everything about the mine. Currently, Alliance Altyn employs 839 people, and a total of about 1,400 people work at the mine site. The majority of employees are residents of Talas region. The company began gold mining in March 2021. Since its establishment through June 2023, Alliance Altyn contributed about KGS 12 billion to the budget. This includes KGS 8 billion on gold sale proceeds.
