Since April, the environmental monitoring program has been supplemented by the recording of meteorological parameters. For this purpose, an automated meteorological station (AMS) is used, which registers air temperature, relative humidity, amount and intensity of precipitation, speed and direction of air flow, atmospheric pressure, and intensity of solar radiation.

This will allow online tracking of meteorological characteristics for safe and efficient operation in the extreme climatic conditions in which we operate.

During the exploitation of the Jeruy deposit, environmental monitoring is carried out to achieve the following objectives:

• to ensure that the operation of the enterprise complies with Kyrgyz and international standards and regulations;
• to ensure the adequacy of the planned measures and their effective implementation;
• to obtain objective and up-to-date information for submission to supervisory bodies, public and financial organizations;
• to obtain objective information needed to monitor the effectiveness of measures aimed at reducing the impact on the environment;
• to obtain data needed to calculate environmental payments.

Environmental monitoring is carried out by a certified company Chuyskaya Ecological Laboratory LLC, which is accredited for these types of work from the beginning of construction works, and during the whole period of operation.

The environmental monitoring plan includes determining the following characteristics:

• monitoring of pollution sources;
• hydrogeological characteristics;
• surface water quality;
• open air quality;
• radiation background in the deposit's licensed and adjacent territories.
