On January 6, the Jeruy production site was visited by the Acting Prime Minister of the Kyrgyz Republic Artem Novikov, the authorized representative of the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic in Talas oblast Aibek Buzurmankulov, Akim of Talas district Zamir Sydykov, representatives of SCIESU, SETI, SAEPF, Ministry of Internal Affairs.
The tour began at the site of the tailings dump. Shayloobek Tairov, CEO of Alliance Altyn LLC, reported on the works carried out at the tailings dump site, including geophysical surveys on the integrity of the impervious polymeric screen of the tailings dump. According to the general director, two surveys were conducted by KyrgyzGIIZ (KR) and Geo-Service (RF), and it is planned to invite an independent European company as well. It was noted that ensuring safety and preventing negative impacts on the environment is one of the priorities of Alliance Altyn. The impervious screen is designed to guarantee complete environmental safety of the tailings dump: cakes with residual moisture up to 20% will go to the dump, and the screen with a drainage system will exclude the ingress of sediments into the soil, providing the recycling water supply to the gold extraction plant (the Mill).
The delegation took a complete tour of the Mill's main building, including a visit to the operator's room. The CEO informed about the processing technology and the course of commissioning works, and reported that the hot startup of the factory is scheduled for late January - early February. This was followed by a meeting chaired by Acting Prime Minister of the Kyrgyz Republic. They discussed the possibility of the Mill's early start-up, as well as the company's interaction with the local authorities and the community. Regarding the activities of the Bakubat Talas Welfare Fund, A. Novikov particularly stressed the importance of implementing major projects with the support of the Fund, which would create additional jobs.
Acting Prime Minister urged the company to purchase goods, works and services mainly from local producers and suppliers within the territory of the Kyrgyz Republic in order to have a multiplicative effect. In this regard, he asked for information on the Alliance Altyn demand for heavy equipment until 2025, as the government is currently working on opportunities to localize the assembly of heavy equipment in Kyrgyzstan. A. Novikov also instructed SETI and SCIESU to take control of the issue of speeding up the commissioning of completed facilities in accordance with the legislation of the Kyrgyz Republic.
